1. Who we are

TappedIN is a search personalisation service for e-commerce stores. References to "TappedIN", "we", "us", or "our" in this policy refer to TappedIN and the legal entity operating it. Our service lets shoppers describe what they are looking for in plain language — and finds the matching products in your catalogue.

2. Data we collect

We collect two categories of data:

• Merchant account data. Name, email address, store URL, and billing details provided when you sign up or update your account.
• Shopper search data. Search queries entered into the TappedIN widget on your storefront, the products returned, and click events. This data is linked to your store — not to any named individual.

We do not collect payment card numbers (handled by our payment processor), nor do we run advertising networks or sell data to third parties.

3. How we use your data

• To operate and improve the TappedIN service for your store.
• To send transactional emails (receipts, usage alerts, security notices).
• To generate aggregate, anonymised performance reports shown in your dashboard.
• To comply with legal obligations.

4. Cookies and tracking

TappedIN uses session cookies necessary to keep you signed in to the merchant dashboard. The storefront widget sets a single first-party cookie to preserve search state during a browsing session. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

5. Data retention

Merchant account data is retained for the duration of your subscription plus 90 days after cancellation, after which it is deleted. Anonymised, aggregated search statistics may be retained indefinitely as they cannot be used to identify individuals.

6. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction you may have the right to access, correct, port, or erase your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@betappedin.app. We respond within 30 days.

7. Changes to this policy

We will notify active merchants by email before making material changes. Continued use of TappedIN after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
